ETHEL COPPIETERS

Ethel studied Fine Art at the École de Recherche Graphique (ERG) in Brussels. Deeply inspired by the women around her, Ethel's work is a fusion of classic feminine references and contemporary narratives. Her softly drawn faces imbue her figures with a sense of anonymity, creating a universal female form reduced to its essentials. Through her portraits of women with deconstructed body proportions, Ethel liberates her subjects from traditional beauty standards, crafting dreamlike scenes that explore both intimate and universal themes.

Through her deconstructed portraits, Ethel liberates women's bodies from conventional beauty norms, presenting them as timeless monuments of strength and resilience.
